Jtek Axe NX4 Integrated Stem
Cap Mounted Aerobar System
Patent Pending

  • Super light weight
  • Eliminates the need for "clip-on" aerobars by integrating the aerobar into the stem cap
  • High quality CNC precision machined parts, 100% made in USA
  • Stiff and strong, will not rotate on bars or damage them from clamping
  • Low frontal profile, stealth design with removable trim-to-length extensions.
  • Designed to integrate with Thomson X4 stems for a very quality system

The Jtek integrated stem mounted Axe aerobar system is a brand new concept in aerobar design. By integrating the aerobar into the stem cap, we have created a new system that no longer has a need to "clip-on" the handlebars. Cyclists can now use a greater a number of carbon fiber handlebar and base bar choices which normally would not be possible or would become damaged from using regular clip-ons. In addition this new system is extremely light and rigid.

Note, the Jtek Axe model NX4 is only compatible for use with the Thomson X4 stems mounted in the negative 10 degree position. Please specify extension style desired in the note field when filling out order form. "S" bends or "L" extension styles are available.

Question and Answers

Q: How much does the Axe bar weigh?

A: About 275-325 grams. It vary's depending on how short the extension length's are cut to, but this is the range most riders can expect to be in complete with all pads and hardware installed. Also, you have to remember that when installing, you further reduce the weight of the system by about 25 grams because the Axe bar replaces the stem cap.

Q: How hard is it to install and remove the Axe?

A:  It's super easy. It's the same as removing and installing a stem cap. Another nice benefit to this design over clip-on's is you don't have to struggle with shifter cable routing over the aerobar clamps because there is none.

Q: Can different extensions be used with the Axe bar?

A: Yes, we have designed our aerobar to accept standard 7/8" (22.2mm) size bars, so if a customer wants to use different style extensions, they are easy to switch out.

Q: Are there any kind of handlebars that won't work with the Axe aerobar?

A: Yes, handlebars with exaggerated, bulging sections which protrude upward or forward close to the stem clamping area should be avoided. These large bulges will interfere with the arm pad mounts and not allow the aerobar to mate up tight to the handlebar.
